Class Council Executive Election Information
If you are interested in running for a Class Council Executive Position, please make sure you go to the Mandatory Information Meeting (see dates/times below). It is also recommended that you read through the descriptions for each position and the rules/requirements to ensure you are eligible to run.

Description of CC Executive Positions
President:
- Preside and serve as Chair during meetings of the Class Council
- Set the agenda for meetings, in coordination with the staff Class Council Advisor and executive board
- Oversee and supervise the functions of all Class Council events
- Represent the student body of Skyline High School at any and all official meetings and activities
- Act as student signer of official forms
- Execute any other powers and duties delegated to the President by the Class Council Constitution
- Assume the duties of the President in the event of the President’s absence
- Execute any other powers and duties delegated to the Vice President by the Class Council Constitution
- Take the minutes of all Class Council meetings
- Ensure that a quorum is present at all meetings
- Inform Executive Officers of the agenda for upcoming Executive Board and ASB Class meetings
- Maintain attendance/minutes records on the Class Council OneNote
- Execute any other powers and duties delegated to the Secretary by the Class Council Constitution
- Prepare the annual Class Council Budget, in coordination with the staff Class Council Advisor
- Work with the staff ASB Bookkeeper to maintain Class Council financial records
- Present any relevant financial business to the Class Council during meetings for the Class Council to debate and approve or reject
- Complete Purchase Order forms, in coordination with the staff Class Council Advisor
- Execute any other powers and duties delegated to the Treasurer by the Class Council Constitution
Rules & Requirements
- Currently hold and maintain an accumulated 2.5 GPA, with NO current failing grades and no suspensions.
- Complete all steps of the application packet.
-To receive the application you must go to one of the mandatory meetings - Agree to the SHS Leadership Oath of Office.
- Maintain exemplary behavior standards that will be a positive representation of your class and your school.
- Keep appropriate, and positive personal social media pages.
- Abstain from the illegal possession, transportation, sale, or use of alcohol/and or substances, or be in the proximity of, at any time period during your term with no exceptions.
- You must be fully aware of the time commitment that this office involves, both during school and as an extracurricular activity, and pledge to make the commitment. Failure to uphold this Oath of Office will result in your ineligibility to run for office in the future and may result in probation or removal from your current elected position.
- Elected officers may not serve as the President or Vice President of another ASB sanctioned club
- Elected officers are discouraged from holding any of the following offices, in addition to their ASB/Class Council Executive position:
--Exec member of any major club: i.e. Key Club, National Honor Society, DECA etc.*
--Editor of the yearbook or newspaper*
*Specific members may be granted an exception to this requirement, but there MUST be EARLY communication between the candidate, Mrs. Rossi, and the club advisor.
